Chicken Paprikash

  • by

My stepmother is Hungarian. While her and my dad met after I had moved out, for a while, I was going over every week for dinner. Often, she would cook – and she introduced my brother and I to chicken paprikash. A simple, yet tasty dish.

Chicken paprikash, fresh from the Instant Pot

This recipe came from Went There, 8 This, and I made the following modifiations:

  • I use boneless, skinless, chicken breasts – mainly because that’s what I have in my freezer. I also did not use butter to brown the chicken.
  • Low fat sour cream was used.
  • I used the hot paprika I had, and let me tell you, it adds HEAT. I cut the heat with some maple sugar
  • I used bottled lemon juice, rather than fresh.
